How small businesses can leverage Facebook Graph Search

facebook graph search
Facebook Graph Search is the new kid on the block for search. Facebook search relies on providing you results from your Facebook network. Facebook algorithm uses two factors to determine your ranking:

1.) # of Facebook Likes on your page and if you’re friends with any of these people.

2.) # of Facebook Check-in

I’ll show you how to leverage both these factors by running two different Facebook campaigns.

Here’s how you can leverage it to your advantage:

1.) Let’s say you have a Mexican restaurant and you would like to be the top restaurant in your city.
2.) You’re going to run Facebook Ads. Here’s a sample image of what the Facebook Ad platform looks like:

3.) Pick 10 cities within a 50 mile radius from your restaurant.
4.) Create Facebook Ads for each of these cities. Your Facebook Ad campaign objective is to try to get more individuals from each of these neighbor cities to like your page. By getting likes in these cities you’re expanding your restaurant reach on Facebook Graph Search.

Facebook Check-in

Facebook Check-in feature is Facebook version for checking in.

As a small business owner, you should create campaigns to get users to check-in to your location. If you check-in on Facebook you receive $1.00 off your total purchase.
